Challenge
To deliver two new public viewing platforms at the Port of Auckland’s Mahanihani / Manukau South Head site, the project required effective management of procurement, contractor engagement, and construction delivery within a remote location.
The key challenge was ensuring the project was delivered efficiently while coordinating contractors and stakeholders from a distance, maintaining quality outcomes, achieving value for money, and minimising impacts on the surrounding environment and community.

Project management of the viewing platform delivery from procurement through to completion
Development and management of a robust contractor procurement and selection process
Review and assessment of contractor submissions, pricing, capability, and delivery approach
